Yamaguchi University was certified as “JICA-SDGs Partner”
Yamaguchi University (YU) was certified as “JICA-SDGs Partner” by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) on May 22, 2023.
JICA has recognized organizations (companies, local governments, universities/research institutions, and NGO/NPO etc. based in Japan) that have been working to promote the SDGs as “JICA-SDGs Partner.”
YU has already been certified as a JICA Development Studies Program (JICA-DSP) Partner University, and also implemented several projects with support from JICA, including acceptance of training participants from many training courses such as “SDGs Global Leader”, “Master’s Degree and Internship Program of African Business Education Initiative for Youth (ABE Initiative)”, and “the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (commonly known as JDS)”, implementation of programs of “Training for Youth”, “JICA Partnership Program” and others.
Besides YU, many institutions such as JAXA, Shimane University, Ehime University, Yamagata University, Yokohama City, and Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. has been certificated as “JICA-SDGs Partner.” YU will keep on working to achieve aim for SDGs in the field of education, research, and international/local area relationship.
