Nourish it. Realize it.&#8221; as one of its renewed ideals and goals. Using this as an opportunity, the in-house public relations ad-hoc committee took the lead in composing a visual identity including the University logo, color, and more, to represent the university\u2019s identity. The new logo and other aspects of our visual identity were officially embraced in January 2004. The logo incorporates a face looking ahead to the future, and the bud-like shape represents learning as it nurtures education and research, respecting individuality as it grows into the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>University Character &#8220;Yama-Me&#8221;<\/h3>\n<div class=\"box_mdl box\">\n<div class=\"w_20 sp_img_c\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/ds27i1.cc.yamaguchi-u.ac.jp\/~www-yu\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/02\/Yama-Me.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"130\" height=\"\" class=\"mt_30 alignnone size-full wp-image-524\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"w_80\">\n<p class=\"ti_01 mt_20\">Yama-Me, designed to reflect the shape and colors of the Yamaguchi University logo, is our official mascot character.
